![I had never heard of Bend, Oregon until I noticed some friends were traveling and moving thereā¦ so I knew I had to check it out. [in partnership with @visitbend]
We had been traveling in our truck camper for about 6 weeks, moving around every 1-3 nights, and we felt exhausted. So when we arrived in Oregon, we decided to stay in one place for a week to rest and recharge.
And once we arrived in Bend, that week-long stay quickly stretched to 17 days, because we were having too much fun to leave.
Bend is an outdoorsy personās paradise - a place where you can run, hike, paddle, float, bike, climb, and so much more.
And when youāre hungry after adventuring, the food scene has so much to offer - from casual bites at food truck lots to finer dining.
We love this town and have already talked about coming back. Save this post to bookmark our list of spots, and if youāre a local, leave a note with some of your favs that we missed!
Where we stayed:

š we also stayed right on the Deschutes River in a @vrbo on our first night and got to kayak on a calm, quiet river as the sun rose
